The Electronic System Design Alliance
and
The IEEE Council on EDA (CEDA)
are proud to honor

Dr. Robert Dutton

Robert and Barbara Kleist Professor of Engineering at Stanford University and Director of the Integrated Circuits Laboratory

With the 2006 Phil Kaufman Award

Dr. Dutton is being honored for his numerous and significant contributions to the EDA industry in the area of computer simulation of integrated circuit (IC) technology

Dr. Dutton has made significant contributions to the EDA industry in the area of computer simulation of integrated circuit (IC) technology. Called the “father of TCAD,” his pioneering work in both IC fabrication process modeling and electrical behavior modeling of devices and circuits have been broadly adopted by the industry and used widely in the support of technology development.

Additional information on Dr. Dutton’s contributions in are available in the press release.

The 2006 Phil Kaufman Award presentation was held at Santa Clara Marriott on November 2, 2006.
